This blog is mostly about what I'm doing in my spare time and working hours. More or less. I do not want to redeem the world with my writings.
I'll mostly post tech and programming related articles, to help others by sharing my experiences. You'll find tips about how (not) to manage an open-source community, start your open-source project, how to implement some simple things. Also, I'm sure that I'll share some personal content too.
I'll never push you to subscribe to this blog or provide your email address to unlock a post, though if you would like to get the latest posts automatically, you can subscribe to my rss feed.
About me
When people ask me to speak about myself, I always start with my name, where I'm from, and all the boring and usual introductory sentences. So, let's change the order for now.
My favorite hobby is traveling, though I just started it some years ago, I was at places I fell in love with immediately. My favorite city is Barcelona, tough I love Florence too. If I would need to, I couldn't decide between them. The vibrancy of the city and the people living there are incredible.
By this point, I'm sure that you realized I'm not a native speaker, so let me introduce myself. My name is Gábor Boros, and I'm living in Budapest, with my perfect wife, Kata. You may ask why have I started this blog if I'm not a native speaker. Well, as I said before, I would like to share my experiences which may help others. Why not Instagram or YouTube? I don't have that much time.
I'm working as a Full Stack Web Developer. Although I always wanted to be a programmer, I had several jobs over the years. I used to envelop letters; I became a certified Red Hat System Administrator in the aviation industry; Oh, and I used to be a bartender for a while, but that was more like a hobby.
Currently, I'm one of the core maintainers of RethinkDB, an awesome and open-source NoSQL database. Also, I'm about to launch my open-source project, Hammurabi, which can help companies to unify their microservices' layout.
